Invitation Suites ~ Stice

Customer review:
Thank you Dana for doing such an amazing job on our custom calligraphy invitations and envelopes. While we knew we wanted something unique, we never dreamt that our stationery would be so beautiful. Upon receiving their invitations, friends and family called just to tell us how gorgeous the entire package, both invitations and envelopes, were! One friend said she felt the invitation was so elegant that she envisioned she would be attending Cinderella's wedding. I'm not exaggerating, our invitations have been a huge conversation piece and it's all thanks to you! My parents and I could not be happier with your service throughout designing, ordering and sending out our invitations.
Thank you! Kate Stice

ps...One friend, a design friend none-the-less, said she waited to RSVP because she even loved the reply card so much that she had it, along with all the other pieces, on her fridge to admire. Her husband confirmed, "I've never seen someone stroke paper the way Anna stroked your invitations." :)

Review left on The Knot Wedding Network:
Dana at A Fine Line Studio was great to work with! She did our wedding invitation, our thank you cards and our envelopes. They turned out stunning! I even came to her with an idea for an envelope format/style she'd not tried before and she did it for us! It looked great! We received tons of compliments and it really set the tone for the wedding.
The bride asked me to address her envelopes in a layout she had seen in Martha Stewart Weddings and I agreed to try. I must give credit to Maria Thomas for the original idea of this design.

I had such fun working with this bride on her wedding invitations.  Thank you, Kate!

Invitation Suites ~ Derby

Dianne, the bride I created this suite for, is one of the most appreciative clients I have ever had the pleasure of working with ~ a beautiful person inside and out.  Working with clients like her makes me realize why I love, love, love what I do and do what I love!!!

I want to share with you accolades from Dianne :)

“From the moment I first saw Dana Cochran’s work I knew I had to have her design my wedding invitation. Dana answered endless e-mails into the late evening hours and constantly consulted me through her design process. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and impeccable taste helped to create the invitation suite of my dreams. When I finally saw my invitation and the lettering on my envelopes I was in tears. It was exquisite. It made such an elegant statement to my family and friends before their arrival in Carmel, California for my wedding. I still receive compliments about it and no one can believe it is actually her handwriting. My matron of honor had my invitation custom framed for me since she knows how much I love it. Now everyone who visits my home will get to see Dana’s fine work.

Dana is the perfect pick for a bride with elegant taste and an appreciation for beautiful writing. I am so pleased she was part of my special day.”

Sneak Peek: Dianne and Pete

Stop by next weekend to see more of this gorgeous couple in a Real Wedding Weekend I have to show you.  Can't you just see the passion between these two?!!
Love their engagement photos.
One of my all time favorites!!

It was such a surprise when this bride contacted me to create her wedding stationery. Just a month or so prior, I had seen her on a news broadcast, from another state (as we pick up this particular television station) and had commented to my husband how cute I thought her haircut was.  Later that week I told my hair stylist I wanted her to see this news anchor's haircut and see what she thought about it. Imagine the surprise I felt when a few months later this bride contacts me!!!!  What a small world we live in.

Real Wedding Weekend: Maura & Kevin

Today’s special wedding looks like a chapter straight out of The Secret Garden. The inspiration of this whimsical bird and garden theme evolved from a vintage headpiece, with lovely feather accents, that Maura, the bride and founder of Honey Darling Events, discovered while shopping for bridal accessories. She was drawn to my classic, yet romantic style of calligraphy. I lettered her invitation suite to reflect a natural, garden-y feel, using chocolate brown ink, letterpressed into 100% cotton rag paper. Maura came across a wonderful iron birdcage in an antique shop. It was the perfect piece to incorporate the place cards I inscribed into a seating card “tree”, using birds and nests.
Deerpark, which is like an enchanted garden in the middle of the amazing Biltmore Estate, was the perfect location for this lovely day.

Maura said “Of all of the details from our special occasion, I have to say that the stationery components you created remain among our most treasured. From the elegantly addressed envelopes to the hand painted "Just Married" sign and the Marie Antoinette quote you scripted as a cake accent, your work was completely stellar.”
A few months ago, Kevin was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. It is my prayer that the love and strength of their marriage will see them through this difficult time.
Thanks Maura and Kevin for letting me be a part of your spectacular day!
